How TNTT promotes teamwork
A structured hierarchy: The TNTT organization operates on three main levels: a central command (Trung Ương), regional leagues (Liên Đoàn), and local chapters (Đoàn). This clear structure promotes effective communication and cooperation from the top down, ensuring that everyone's voice contributes to the movement's mission.
Team roles and responsibilities: Each chapter is divided into teams or groups with designated roles for members. For example, a team captain (Đội trưởng) and co-captain (Đội phó) work together to lead their group under the guidance of youth leaders (Huynh trưởng). Members are expected to follow directions, participate actively, and provide feedback to improve team efforts.
Specialized skills and drills: The curriculum includes lessons on practical skills like knot-tying and pioneering, the craft of constructing structures with ropes and poles. These activities are difficult to do alone and require members to work together to succeed, promoting unity and problem-solving.
Group activities: TNTT uses various formations, like a circle for games and a U-formation for ceremonies, that require members to move and organize together. This reinforces the importance of acting as a cohesive unit.
Camps and events: Camping, field days, and outdoor events provide opportunities for members to connect and build relationships outside of formal lessons. Stepping outside their comfort zone forces members to rely on each other, strengthening their bond with leaders and peers.
Spiritual growth: Working together on projects and service ministries allows members to learn from one another and share their spiritual experiences. This environment of shared growth builds a strong, committed community.
Emphasis on unity: TNTT emphasizes that collective success is more powerful than individual achievement. Team-building discussions reinforce the idea that working through challenges together leads to a stronger, more resilient team.
